Krishi Vigyan Kendra works with multi-disciplinary approach for the sustainability of farmers in the district.  In order to create awareness on need and importance in conservation of native breed in livestock, KVK established demo unit  with native breeds such as Burgur, Kankeyam, Gir breeds and also improved technology on Slatted Floor Goat rearing unit at instructional farm.  In poultry, KVK demonstrated Desi Birds like Giriraja, Vanaraja, Namakkam-1 and Erode local with the farmers field.  KVK also popularized Tellicherry goat among the farming community in the district.
